Oscar de la Renta (1932-2014)

Ayer falleció uno de nuestros diseñadores favoritos, Oscar de la Renta. Sus colecciones siempre elegantes, femeninas, llenas de color, el perfecto estilo ladylike.

Este es nuestro pequeño homenaje a uno de los mejores diseñadores.

Unas pinceladas de su biografía.

Óscar Arístides de la Renta Fiallo nació el 22 de julio de 1932 en Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.

Estudio Pintura en la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando (Madrid)

Comenzó a realizar bocetos para las principales casas de moda españolas, lo que le permitió llegar a ser aprendiz de Cristóbal Balenciaga, a quien consideró su mentor.

Trabajó en Paris con Antonio del Castillo en Lanvin.

En 1965 lanzo su propia firma.

Consiguió relanzar Balmain, donde estuvo como diseñador de 1993 a 2002.

Ofreció a John Galliano la posibilidad de colaborar con él en la colección otoño invierno 2013/2014, aunque colabora en esa colección no se quedo en la firma.

Hace unos días se anuncio que Peter Copping será el nuevo director creativo de la firma.
